Jay E. Weissbluth, M.D., combines extensive training and education with more than 30 years of experience practicing medicine to provide his patients in the Sheepshead Bay neighborhood of Brooklyn, New York, with top-tier gastroenterological care in a compassionate and energetic manner. Dr. Weissbluth has extensive experience handling a wide range of issues, including performing more than 30,000 procedures incorporating advanced endoscopic techniques, such as colonoscopy, upper endoscopy, and treatment of hemorrhoids.

Dr. Weissbluth earned a Bachelor of Science in biology at the University of Hartford College of Arts and Sciences in Hartford, Connecticut, before moving on to complete medical school at Far Eastern University in Manila, Philippines. Following medical school, Dr. Weissbluth completed his residency training at Interfaith Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York, finishing as the 4th year chief medical resident in 1987. Following residency, Dr. Weissbluth stayed at Interfaith Medical Center to complete a fellowship in gastroenterology and has been in private practice ever since.

Dr. Weissbluth is a proud member of the American College of Physicians, the Medical Society of the County of Kings, the American College of Gastroenterology, the Medical Society of the State of New York, and New York Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy. He also served as the former associate medical director of South Brooklyn Endoscopy Center.
